QC Technician

About the Position

As a key member of our rapidly growing organization, the QC Technician will ensure that all product safety needs are met, that employees are following CGMP’s, SQF Processes, GFCO and Kosher Requirements, that all QC testing is performed and recorded and that all QA records are maintained. In keeping with Lucky Food, LLC., employee policies and procedures. All activities of the QC Technician are dedicated to ensuring the safety and quality of the food manufacturing process. These activities include testing, measuring, observing, verifying and recording data for all CCP’s.

●      The QC Technician will follow all Lucky Food company policies and procedures while carrying out all other duties assigned by the Food Safety Management Team.

●      The QC Technician will set the example by following all CGMP’s, SQF Guidelines, GFCO and Kosher Requirements.

Qualifications + Skills

  • One to two years of related experience in food manufacturing
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, and Excel
  • Proficient with Google Drive
  • Self-starter. Must ask questions and learn new skills quickly on the job
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with short turnarounds in a fast-paced working environment

Job Type

 Full-time, on-site, Sunday 7:00AM – 3:30PM, Monday-Thursday 10:00AM-6:30PM

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all food safety guidelines and procedures are being followed so that all products manufactured by Lucky Food employees meet or exceed FDA, SQF and GFCO requirements and regulations.
  • Must ensure that all food safety, sanitation, and food safety programs are being followed
  • Verify sanitation of the production lines have passed testing to assure that all regulatory and internal specifications are met.
  • Ensure lot traceability is maintained throughout the production day.
  • Maintain the retention sample library.
  • Test, measure, observe, verify, and record all QC processes set forth by the Food Safety manager to ensure food safety programs are being followed.
  • Ensures that all ingredients are tagged and segregated and that all allergens are stored separately.
  • Ensures that truck inspections for incoming raw ingredients and materials are being conducted properly by warehouse personnel to ensure that there are no contaminants in contact with the primary packaging materials.
  • Assist in the inspection of all incoming receiving materials and ingredients to ensure that all ingredients and materials being used in the Lucky Food manufacturing processes meet food safety requirements.
